Guest Blogger Guidelines

Was this the first real Tweet?

Aloha ya’ll! I’m opening the blog to you guys. You have thoughts, interests and feelings that I’m sure everyone else would love to read.

Content

I’m interested in posts about writing, and that’s the only limitation. Some examples: personal stories of writing triumph/defeat, inspirational writing stories, snarkfest, giggle snort, writing blah, blah, blah. 350-800 word limit please and thank you.

Let’s keep it classy and just a little trashy, shall we? So, the cursing to a minimum. I run a reasonably clean ship here. Granted, sometimes, you just really need to drop a f* bomb. But as Tim Gunn would say, “Use it thoughtfully. ” Make this your own, and use your own voice. I think it’s refreshing to add new views to a blog. It’ll keep me it young.

Style Guide

Shorter paragraphs are easier on the eyes, as well as breaking up sections with bullets, numbered lists, etc. Looking at a big block of words is just daunting. I don’t want that, you don’t want that either.  If you want to add a photo, make sure to have some attribution for it, and please no copyrighted materials–unless it’s your copyright, then playball. If you have any questions about copyright, let me know.  I’m not lawyer, but I can tell you if I’m comfortable using the artwork.

Who you is?

Two-three sentences telling about you. Where you live, what you do- you know, the basics. Give me a couple of your social media contact points, and we’ll make it happen cap’n.

Sounds good? Ok, let’s get into this. Email me at: penpaperpad78@gmail.com. Let me know what you want to write about, send me a link to your blog and away we go.  Oh, and I’m cool with a guest post exchange program, if your blog has a home for one of my posts.

Thanks!

  1. Hi, I was wondering if you would like to trade guest blog articles since our content is related. I’m actually a fiction writer but this is a poetry anthology to benefit two different charities. Let me know what you think 🙂

    All the best,

    Julie Lemardy (aka A.C. James)
