The Pinspiration Project #18

Or why this hillbilly never makes stuff and blog it…

**spoiler** Cuz, I’m no good at it.

Last night I decided to join the Tuesday Pinterest challenge that I was invited to join by Lulu from Lulu and Sweet Pea. First can I just say, I do love the Pinterest.

Pinterest you lure me in with your fuzzy cats later. Three hours later, I'm knee-deep in makeup tips, and cozy nook pics. *shakes fist*

Fortunately, I’m not afraid of failure. :D

I made a chocolate yogurt mousse last night with chocolate chips on top. I found it on a Pinterest one day, and put it on my “Tasty Treats” board. I pinned a lot of things for the future when we weren’t living with the roommate from Hades and staying primarily in the bedroom. ((Another blog, another time.))

I’d whipped up the Greek yogurt, chocolate baking powder, etc. etc. It was all nice and fluffy. Creamy. I took a bite, and it’s not what I’ve ever wanted out of any mousse. Da fvck?! I says.

I started adding sweeteners–more maple syrup and honey oh my! Until finally the Mathmagician suggests I just break down and add sugar. And so I did.  Then it paired well with the Avocananbanana bread the Mathmagician magicked into life.

After I was finished, I looked at the web site again—wait, this wasn’t a mousse. It was a damn dip! No wonder! head+desk But let me tell ya, with a few modifications, it’s mousse. The ingredients were simple and here’s the link from Edible Perspective, so you can make it too.

Here’s what their project looks like:

Here’s what the finish product looked like via my terrible photography:

Oops, I totally didn't think about taking photos until we were about to shove it into our pie holes.

Aloha ya’ll!
