My health has been an issue. It’s been a hardcore pain in the butt. I couldn’t continue with the AmeriCorps position and quite frankly, I don’t think my health is too much the suck for me to try even a part-time job at this point. I’m currently using a Negative Therapy Pressure machine to help my incision to heal–a long drawn out process just got a little more uncomfortable.
However, there is a bright side to all of this. As I haven’t been able to work or even hang out much really, I’ve been doing a lot of contemplating, especially my future. It is clear to me that I need to work at my writing career full-time. It may not start off lucrative, but eventually it will be. I’m nothing if not persistent, and I’m a fairly decent writer. Add these things together, stir in come creativity and let the magic happen, right? Maybe not so much magic as a lot of researching, writing, rewriting, submissions, rejections and then those few sweet acceptances.
One things that’s going to help me with all of this is with at least my fiction has been offered by my Hawai’i NaNoWriMo Group. We’re working on writing 250 words each day on our respective WIP. This will keep me talking to my protagonist until her story is told. Very nice, ya?
I’m so exited to keep it moving forward. 2013, you’re inching toward me, and I can’t wait to be in you…wait, what?
Oh yeah, if you’re wondering what a negative pressure therapy machine does, say thanks to YouTube and KCI VAC Therapy System.
