Reflections on NaNoWriMo
I’m a winner…but not at NaNoWriMo. I didn’t complete the 50,000 word challenge of NaNoWriMo. *sad emoticon* However, I did come to some realizations about my writing and myself along the way, which is even more valuable to me. I guest blogged for Fiction Brigade and told them my story. You should check it out.
I think it’s important to challenge yourself, try new things and just experience life. I’ve met a really great group of writers, who plan to meet up monthly for more writing and coffee. I hadn’t found a network of writers yet, and I was already missing that from Morgantown, WV. Though you do (often) write alone, it’s still nice to have people, who get why writing may be an art, but it’s a work.
I’ll be on here more often now, letting you in on my literary starts and stops. By all means, comment. And if you find some cool sites that I should check out, definitely submit some links. I want to build up my links on here.
Oh, and the novel I was writing last month, I’m still writing on it, and I will complete it. Just not in a month.
Aloha ya’ll!
