Shaking the Dust Off These Pages

drawn meSince I last wrote in my blog, my life has changed drastically. I moved from the Mountain Mama, West Virginia to the Aloha State, Hawaii. It’s already snowed at my Mom’s house…Sometimes I feel a sense of reality disconnect. Things are so different here, and I’ve had some unexpected health difficulties which sent me for a loop.

Things are starting to calm down, more or less. At least I’m ready to try to establish some type of habits here. Hawaii habits. Tropical living? Paradise Lost? Nope, it’s definitely a Hillbilly Honolulu here. I’ll be discussing my journey through this writer’s life: missteps and triumphs. So, I hope you join me on this crazy ride. I have no idea what will happen next.

This month, the focus is NaNoWriMo. November is the National Novel Writing Month. The goal is simple to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. Now, I’ve tried to do this in three days and a half days.  That didn’t work out too well. However, this time around, the time is a bit more flexible…and there’s the support of (in Hawaii) over a thousand other crazed writers doing the same. I’ll keep you updated on how I’m doing and to read my goal of finishing a book.

Thanks for reading and continuing this journey with me.
